5/19/2012 - Shelter Island
The funniest moment of this ride: It was a perfect biking day, and
many others were out and riding. There was a group of young people that I'm
guessing were in the range of 13 to 16 years. We saw them several times
during our ride, and everyone was friendly. On one of the last uphill's
toward the end of the ride, the kids had stopped to catch their collective
breath. As we passed them, one boy said to another, "they're way older than
us, and they're passing us". Young whippersnappers. Our laugh for the day.
They may never know how they made us smile.
