BETHPAGE STATE PARK TO JONES BEACH

Proceed south on the bike path from the picnic area.

When the path crosses Southern State Parkway,
follow the curve to the left (not the right by the fence).

Go through a park, past a reservoir and the metal
fishing bridge.  (Not the small cement bridge).

Turn right on Clark Ave., just after the fishing bridge.

Follow Clark Avenue until it passes under the Seaford Oyster Bay

Expressway, and go left onto Seaman's Neck Road.

Turn right at the end of Seaman's Neck Road onto
Park Avenue.

Turn left onto Beech Street (by the 7-11 store).

Cross Sunrise Highway, and continue straight ahead.

Turn right at Merrick Road, and turn left at the traffic light.

Follow this road to the end.

Enter the park, and find the bike path to Jones Beach
on the right hand border of the park.

The path has been extended through the theater parking lot,

up to the boardwalk by the East Bathhouse. 

Bicycle racks are provided at the end of the path.

One year a state policeman stated that bikes were being stolen

from the racks, so use caution.

Bikes are permitted on the boardwalk sometimes.  Watch for signs.
